Take Control Of Your Grow Room

The SmartBee Controllers Environmental Controls enable you to take charge of your grow room with a collection of wireless devices all working together to give you more effective control of your environment. Each component has been designed with the grower in mind, enabling you to grow your crop as you have, only smarter. The SmartBee components gather key environmental data in real-time to monitor, assess and, in many cases, proactively correct issues that could potentially ruin your production. What’s more, you can monitor and control your grow all from your tablet or smartphone.

24v Dry Contact Controller

The SmartBee 24V Dry Contact Controller, allows you to step down your high-voltage relays to operate low-voltage appliances giving you variety of use options that may be suitable to your established electrical configuration. The eight relay dry contact controller is ideal for opening low-voltage solenoids serving multi-zoned irrigation systems within a single microclimate. The Hive communicates with the DCC8 over your network to turn relays ON or OFF, and uses sensor data to compare conditions to set points, and turn the required electrical appliances ON or OFF controlling your appliances to your desired settings. A perfect solution for greenhouses, the SmartBee 24V Dry Contact Controller is great for actuating blackout appliances and louvers that aid light deprivation applications.

If you’re running different crop varieties in one room, a common practice is to irrigate in zones thus maximizing the efficiency of each of the crops individual feeding needs. The 24V Dry Contact Controller has the ability to utilize the SmartBee App’s irrigation schedules in the same way you would normally schedule irrigations in the system. You may be currently plugging several solenoids onto a control device such as a Smart Strip 4 (SS4). Now you can wire those same zones into the 24V Dry Contact Controller and have the same control while freeing up some controllable outlets you currently use for irrigation.

LTH Pro Sensor

The SmartBee Controllers LTH Pro sensor gives you control over Light, Temperature, Humidity, VPD, and CO2. With an optional Apogee PAR sensor, LTH Pro can provide PAR, PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density) and DLI (Daily Light Integral) readings from your grow room, anywhere. Apogee Instruments’ quantum sensors provide accurate and cost-effective measurement of photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) from all light sources used to grow plants. The SmartBee LTH Pro Sensor is designed to allow better access to plant canopy readings, where placement is essential to monitor accurate levels of CO2. Should you employ a CO2 injection system for maximizing growth, The SmartBee LTH Pro Sensor will monitor that system by sampling the air and sending sample data to the Hive Gateway for data logging. With HID lights, the room temperature will quickly rise making temperature control essential. This limits the time that you are able to inject CO2 and also increases CO2 waste, which the SmartBee Control System minimizes by monitoring your CO2 system distribution. The data logging allows you to see how much CO2 is being evacuated out of your room based on your temperature fluctuations.

LTH Sensor

One of the many smart features of the SmartBee LTH Sensor is a pair of solar panels on top of the unit that harvest excess energy from the lights, which extends your time between re-charging the internal Li-ION battery. You can deploy multiple LTH sensors to monitor specific areas of your grow rooms, utilizing the readings from specific individual sensors. The options are limitless! Light is sensed via the ambient light sensor which takes readings and sends that data to the Hive Gateway, telling the system whether or not to turn on certain outlets relative to your garden’s day or night cycle. Sensor values can be used to perform actions such as turning on a fan or dehumidifier and/or sending a text message alert for high or low humidity levels. SmartBee software is even capable of turning on and off a controllable outlet(s) or Lighting Controller based on the reading from the temperature sensor.

Within indoor grow rooms, temperature and humidity control with flexible settings for day and night are essential, along with the gradual change over in between. The SmartBee Environmental Controllers VPD readings provide a more accurate picture of how plants feel their environment in relation to temperature and humidity which gives us growers a better platform for environmental control. The SmartBee LTH and LTH Pro Sensors monitor all of these readings and allow you to control the output devices to meet your grow rooms needs. Factoring various growth stages, as well as day and night time temperature, humidity and VPD the SmartBee LTH and LTH Pro sensors allow for a variety of control scenarios to be achieved.

The SmartBee Controllers Environmental Controls include a host of components that are on the cutting edge of wireless sensor technology, giving you the tools to increase yields from the comfort of your living room or anywhere you have internet access, using your tablet or smartphone.
