Las Vegas based technology company is looking for an important next hire for our close knit team. We seek a Linux System Administrator and Networking Engineer to develop and deploy infrastructure for our company’s cloud services.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure and administer Amazon AWS servers with Linux, Apache, Tomcat, Java, and PostgreSQL
  • Configure and administer end-user software update server
  • Configure and administer mail server
  • Configure and maintain PostgreSQL database with replication
  • Configure and administer load balancers
  • Configure and administer DNS
  • Configure and administer routing and firewall configuration
  • Network security

Experience:

  • 5+ years Linux System Administration and network engineering experience
  • Bash and at least one scripting language
  • Experience with Jenkins, Git, Jira
  • 2+ years AWS experience, security and related services (especially EC2, Route53, RDS)
  • PostgreSQL in an environment with replication

  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Sales Representative Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of knowledge and experience selling to the Agricultural market.   Hydroponics a plus.

  • Ability to travel the territory.

Compensation: This is a commission only position.

Candidate will provide remote technical support and diagnostics for end-users installing and operating our control systems.  Looking for a motivated, support-oriented, and amicable candidate.

Required Knowledge / Experience:

  • Experience with and understanding of configuring routers, wireless access points, and other network infrastructure equipment
  • Working knowledge of Linux systems, comfort with terminal / command line interfaces
  • Ability to perform system-level configuration of products including determination of hardware, OS, software versions, and other platform specifications
  • Familiarity managing and controlling network IP ranges, NAT, Port Forwarding, dynamic DNS
  • Support connectivity of devices to networks and troubleshoot connectivity problems
  • Experience working with custom networked products, such as home automation equipment, energy management systems, or control devices
  • Monitor and respond to complex technical control facility hardware and software problems
  • Provide guidance regarding system versions, upgrading, and other system maintenance
